How does it work?

Concerning about the feel and experience of your beloved child, we have designed it in a straightforward and easy-understanding approach. It is to ensure you, as the parent, and your child can enjoy this fun and interactive learning process. Complete a learning session with your child with just THREE simple steps.

Step 1: Recognize

Flash the words using Brain Bees i-Flash.

In this step, your child will learn and familiar with the new words as well as his/hers pronunciations through the cards flashing process. Rapid flashing activates both left and right brain to receive the new knowledge as well as to arouse your child interest to finish the whole learning session. Thus, this is a whole brain learning process.

The content is provided in thematic and contextual-based, which words learned are related to your child’s surrounding. This enables your child to remember the words faster each time he/she encounters the words in his/her surroundings. There are approximately 25 cards flashed each day. Each flash card is flashed consistently for one second with clear voice-over. Brain Bees i-Flash has been programmed to update the list of words on daily basis.

You only need approximately 30 seconds for this session.

Step 2: Understand

Flash the pictures using Brain Bees i-Flash.

In this step, pictures will be presented to your child in order to understand the words that have been introduced in the step 1. Similar to the step 1, each picture will be flashed for one second with clear voice-over. Brain Bees i-Flash will update the list of pictures according to the list of pictures on daily basis.

The purpose of going through this step is to evoke your child memory of what he/she has learned in step 1 and allow him/her to connect words, pictures, and voice over. By doing this, your child’s memory will be boosted even better.

You only need approximately 30 seconds for this session.

Step 3: Reinforcement

Reinforcement of what your child has learned on step 1 and step 2.

In this step, your child will be reinforced through our specially designed interactive games and fun readings. Brain Bees i-Flash will update the list of interactive games and fun readings from time to time to enhance his/her learning interest.
Q2

Interactive Games
Interactive games provide a fun and engaging environment for your child to learn. Active participation promotes higher retention level and motivation towards learning. Interactive games are specially designed to engage your child in learning activity and thus ensure them in mastering the words that they learned in step 1 and step 2. Brain Bees i-Flash applied two different approaches to undergo these interactive games:

Listening literacy
In this game, Brain Bees i-Flash will play the same voice-over that your child has learned in step 1 and step 2. Your child has to choose betweens two different Chinese characters (these two Chinese characters are being taught in step 1 and step 2) where one of them is matched with the voice-over. This will reinforce your child from recognizing the Chinese characters that learnt.

Visual literacy
In this game, Brain Bees i-Flash will play the pictures that your child has learned in step 2. Your child have to choose between two different Chinese characters (these two Chinese characters are being taught in step 1 and step 2) where one of them is matched with the presented picture or vice versa (choose between two pictures that match with the displayed Chinese character). This will reinforce your child to understand the meaning of the Chinese characters that learnt.

By playing this game, you as a parent can see how well is your child understanding level and how much he/she can absorb throughout the learning session.

As Brain Bees i-Flash targets different age group of children, we have specially planned different level of interactive games, specifically suitable for each child. When your child aged from four to seven months old, you can skip this step as your child is developmentally not ready to start learning on how to read and play the games. Don’t worry about skipping this step as you can let your child to go through it once he/she is eight months old.

When your child is between eight months old to two years old, you can only allow your child to play the game where he/she have to choose the correct answer that matched with the given hints as he/she still cannot fully utilize the keyboard as well as mouse. As your child grows up, our game will also be challenging in order to meet up with his/her expectation.

If your child performed remarkably, as a parent should reward and praise him /her as a motivation to continue this achievement on the upcoming learning session. However, even if your child fails to perform, as a parent should encourage and give confidence instead of scolding your child. Too forceful to your child might cause him/her to lose interest in learning. Just try again on the upcoming learning session!

Readings Materials
This is another reinforcement approach that enables early literacy and cultivates your child with reading habit. This is prepared for parents to build your child reading ability through small step approach. It has been arranged in the sequence of:
Couplets
Short sentences
Full sentences
Poems and short stories

The words shown in the reading materials are those Chinese characters that learnt in previous lessons or days words from step 1. Thus, not only you can slowly foster your child to love reading, your child also can achieve long-term memory as all these reinforcement activities are based on prior knowledge learned throughout up to 10 days learning sessions. More important, even Brain Bees i-Flash has included perfectly clear and exact audio pronunciations, you as a parent are advisable to read along with your child to ensure your child’s pronunciations are accurate. Moreover, by doing this will ensure your child feel even fun and enjoyable to learn reading.
